IPv6 is abbreviation of Internet Protocol Version 6 ( IP version 6, number of 6 here related the version number given, that is version of 6). IPv6 sometime also referred with Next Generation Internet Protocol (IPng). Ipv6 this have been recommended by director Area IPng from Internet Engineering Task Force ( IETF) when IETF meeting at 25 July 1994 like written in RFC 1752, with entitle The Recommendation for the IP Next Generation Protocol. This recommendation have been agreed by Internet Engineering Steering Group and made standart proposal at 17 November 1994.

IPv6 which design by IETF used to change the version IP (Internet Protocol) in this time that is IP version of 4 ( IPv4). Most of all or can be told all user Internet in this time use Ipv4. Ipv4 have proven delay during the time, but there are problem to Ipv4 this, especially at allocation IP.. Referring to on the wane of address Ipv4 the availableness, hence required the new mechanism to be added to Internet.

IPv6 have address length 128bit is while address length of IPv4 is only 32bit. IPv6 improve;repair a number of internal issues IPv4, like limitation of address allocation IP which be available in IPv4. IPv6 also add a number of growths from IPv4 like routing and autokonfigurati on network. Ipv6 expected step by step replace IPv4.
